We will be holding our Annual General Meeting on Monday 14 October 2024 at the White Haus in London. which will be followed by dinner to which guests are invited. The notice and agenda for the AGM and all relevant papers can be found at the members area here. The LSC will be organising the British Schoolgirls’ Indoor Races on Sunday 6 October 2024 at the Snozone in Milton Keynes. Applications will open in the Summer Term.
The LSC are planning to put at least one team together for the DHO’s annual regatta held at Seaview on the Isle of Wight on Sunday 1 September 2024. Further details can be found here. LSC provides awards to young deserving British competitors in snow sports; awards are made across all disciplines including alpine, ski cross, telemark, snowboarding, freestyle, aerials and para snow sports. Applications for the 2024/25 season open on 1 August 2024 and will remain open until 15 September 2024. We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Diston Sport for the 2024/25 awards; Diston Sport make cut-resistant garments certified by FIS which provide exceptional protection and reduce the risk of lacerations. Each of the award winners will receive a pair of Diston sport leggings in addition to their financial award. Full details and the application form can be found here.
Our Vice President, Ingie Christophersen, will host our annual walk and picnic near Lewes in East Sussex on Sunday 30 June 2024; husbands, partners, children and dogs are all welcome. We will meet at Bentley and then drive to the start at Balcombe. Afterwards we will all head back to Bentley for a picnic in the grounds. Please let us know if you will be joining by email
Schweizerischer Akademischer Skiclub (SAS) will be hosting the 16th AICC races in St Moritz, Switzerland in March 2024 and LSC will be entering a number of teams. Members who are interested in joining us should get in touch at secretary@ladiesskiclub.org

The LSC will be running the British Schoolgirls’ Races (BSR) again in Flaine in January 2024. Training will take place on Sunday 28th January 2024 and the races will be held on Monday 29th January 2024 and Tuesday 30th January 2024.

Linda Fawke has invited members to the launch of her book at Wokingham Library (RG40 2AF) on Thursday 30 November at 5pm. The book can be ordered on Amazon here
Join us for one of our two special evenings of popular classics and songs from musicals. Our president, Ingie Christophersen, will be hosting two musical evenings at her house in Lewes to raise funds for the LSC. We will start the evening with drinks followed by a concert with a number of musicians and singers performing; a buffet supper will be served after the concert.
Aperitifs will be served at 6.00pm on both Friday 3 November and Saturday 4 November

ALS Ski is hosting a charity evening to celebrate female empowerment, skiing and sustainability. The event takes place on the 12th September at The Royal Geographical Society in support of Protect Our Winters and Women of Winter, which all proceeds will be split between. We are screening the all female free ride movie - Nexus: One Is Not Enough followed by a Q&A with Nexus Athletes and Creatives Veronica Paulsen, Caite Zeliff and Shannon Corsi all coming over from the US.

Applications for LSC Awards for the 2023/24 season open on 1 August 2023 and will remain open until 15 September 2023. Applications are open to LSC members over the age of 16 and must be made using the application form which can be found at the awards page here.
We will be holding our annual walk and picnic in Sevenoaks in June and will use as another celebration of the Ladies’ Ski Club’s centenary.
We will meet in Sevenoaks at 10.30 for an 11 am departure and will walk in Knole Park. If you are interested in joining please get in touch at secretary@ladiesskiclub.org
The !5th Amateur Inter Club Team Championship will be hosted by SC 18 club in the beautiful resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy from 9 th - 11th March 2023. Further details can be found at the AICC website here

All members and their guests who are in Mürren for the Centenary Celebrations are invited to join us for a brunch at the top of the Schilthorn followed by social skiing around Mürren. Brunch will be at members own cost.

As part of the LSC Centenary Celebrations we will be holding a fun costume race in Mürren, Switzerland on the Club's 100th birthday - 23 January 2023. All members and other women are invited to participate, but must be dressed in 1920’s style; other guests are invited to join us on the piste to spectate.

The DHO has invited LSC to compete in their regatta on the Isle of Wight on Sunday 4 September 2022; we have entered two LSC boats but still have spaces for crew. Please get in touch with our treasurer if you are interested in joining
Every year we try to meet as a club, ‘out of season’, to catch up on news and to enjoy a day out together.
This year’s event will take place in the historic town of Stamford, Lincolnshire, taking in Burghley House’s fabulous Sculpture Garden.
Bring your own picnic lunch and enjoy afternoon tea afterwards at the home of our VP, Gayle Parsons. All members and partners welcome, and there’s even the offer of beds for those wanting to make a weekend of it.

Sadly the DHO have had to cancel the 14th AICC races in 2021, but they will be hosting it in 2022 in Wengen, giving racers the opportunity to race down part of the infamous Lauberhorn race piste…..
Proceedings will start with Welcome Drinks on Thursday 10th March and racing on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th March. There will be an Alpine dinner at Kleine Scheidegg on Friday evening and the event will conclude with a prize giving dinner at one of the historic hotels in Wengen.
